Is this piece an authentic SS Allg. Officer's visor, it has several items to make me think Alteste?

Here's the link:http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=792600
My initial thoughts are the wool the body is made up from is heavier than known examples....That and the liner area is different than one would see from a "text book" example.....I don't claim to be an expert so will wait and see what others have to say...Bodes

It's an authentic cap IMO.
The photos aren't the best however which is probably why some are having doubts. The contrast is too high which is making the cap look faded.
I'm not keen on the word "textbook" so I'll just describe it as being typical for an RZM regulated Officers black service cap of the circa 1937 period; melton type wool cover, black lining, cupal insignia, correct RZM tag and ink stamp on the visor (which is a bit smudged on this example). It would have had an unmarked celluloid shield inside which is now gone, no big deal.
