Two manufacturers in one cap ?

Hello,

I have seen this KM tropical cap which I like. What puzzles me is that it has two different manufacturer stamps on the line: One from HPC and the other one the typical french one. Also two different size stamps.
Any ideas ?

I have two french makers one from same company but both with brown/beige liner and not green.....and I have checked here on WAF, all with brown-beige liner from the french maker.

The French made trops are a different species altogether....the style and the silken linings are easy to spot.

Sub-contracted KM tropical cap

One company has made the lining and cap components. The other company has assembled it and finished off production.

The only other time that you see two makers in the one KM cap is when the cap has been reworked or up-sized,
