(looks like he is also MAX-certified)
The man in the picture is not the Steve weigal I know. I spent several hours with Steve a Midwest military show. He had some high end stuff for sale and was kind enough to visit with a noob. Told me I could go see the movie Fury with him and jack angolia. It didn't happen but he still seemed like a stand up guy. Just my two cents.

There are 2 sellers being discussed in the thread, as they both had/have high end "rarities" for sale on the german military collectibles site--the first is a Dave Howerdel (who is apparently in the photo), and Weigel, who has all the SS hats for sale.

Why is it I am not surprised to read that Weigel is hanging out with Angolia?...

It does have to make one worry about the future of this hobby if the once respected are now slandered and shunned. I'm just getting back into collecting and honestly it was a lot more fun working with a respected dealer and moving toward a goal. I know he too has fallen out of favor here, but what did I know I was only 12 following an interest that I had. You might think if someone published definitive reference books on various subjects they might earn the respect of later collectors. Especially considering books written before the Internet. I'll see Steve and his trash tomorrow at a very small show. It wouldn't be right to mention this thread to him. After 40 years following his passion it would kill him to learn of this thread. Well I'm off ,back into the shadows. Happy collecting to all

Son, first of all, I guarantee Mr. Weigel is well aware of this forum, and this thread. Regarding Mr. Angolia, I would recommend you do a forum search under his name before leaping to his defense.
