        Mike - When asking about the buttons being used on other Heer caps, I meant caps other than Panzer (even if by this same maker). I should have been more specific. (When asking this, I am NOT questioning the cap's originality at all.)

            Hi to me it looks like a converted M43 fieldcap and I concur with the information provided by Chris, nevertheless still a wonderful panzer cap that I would love to have in my collection.

                  If you mean a M-42 with factory added visor,I don't believe that it is. It has some characteristics of a M-43 that are not seen in M-42's.


                  Most likely one of the first production runs of the M-43 field hat.IMO

                        Just that the texture and color in the visor looks different but you have the cap in hand so you can make better judgement then I do.
