Salty named NSDAP visor cap w/ blue piping, help identifying + value?

    Hi all,

Just picked this up locally and was wondering what you all thought of it- I'm sure it is original although I believe the front insignia was replaced with a regular NCO badge and the eagle was taken off too, as well as the cord/buttons. The interior is named "Wichmann", unfortunately I cannot find an RZM tag nor am I sure if there ever was one. The manufacturer is Georg Seifferth, and even though the hat is quite salty it still feels like it was made of fairly good quality material.

Does anyone know what this would be worth in this condition, and if it is worth replacing with original badges (if I can find them?)

    Cheers and many thanks!

        Hi,
the name WICHMANN is unfortnately a common name. As thre are no initials for the first name, it could be a problem to identify the person. Esdpecially when it is the lower ranks like this visor.
        But still a nice one.

        Regards
        Christian

        P.S.

I wouldn't pay $300 for this visor. But it might be fun to restore as a project.
