Hi all. I recently bought this Luftwaffe M43. The eagle doesn't look right and now I'm thinking maybe the whole thing is a repro. What do you guys think?

Good hat no question but replaced insignia ,perhaps John H can comment on the eagleGive a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.Comment

Hi, and thanks to Glenn, Chris, Lenny & John.
I'm thinking of buying a genuine Luftwaffe cap Eagle and replacing the repro with it. Is that something you guys would recommend? If so, is there a trusted restorer out there or should I just take it to a uniform shop that does alterations?
Any advice would be appreciated.
