SS "Crusher" on estand

I'm amazed by the number of prominent collectors who fell all over themselves praising this stuff from a few poor pictures. What did they base their praise on? Had to be the story or individual posters reputation because it certainly wasn't from an examination of the items. One poster told these guys to be suspicious but he was dismissed.

Do you expect anyone to believe that is original stuff? What nice story do you have this time?

Jim,Fairly new to this forum which is far and wide better than others especially that one across the pond!!There is an amazing bunch of so called experts especially in their own minds!I have collected going on 43 years and the amount of B.S that goes on is staggering!!The old wives tales that they base their so called expertism on go back many moons ago!To try and change there minds for the most part is like batting your head against a wall,nothing done but getting a big headache!Why was this lowlife allowed to stick guys with this garbage is incredible!!!I would suggest that those who said this was wow a great find should either get a copy of Gary Wilkins book "A COLLECTORS GUIDE TO THIRD REICH CLOTH HEADGEAR" and look at the proper construction and insignia of much of the headgear that we collect.At least let the guys who know what the heck they are looking at check it!!I hope he meets up with a collector this scum ripped off and gets his rights and some lefts.CDR PS.Remember buy the piece not some thiefs B.S story and please one red flag look harder two red flags walk away fast.

Wisdom afterwards, I realize, but frankly I never understood the general positive vibe regarding Mr Besslein's ultra rare line up?...

Not even that the photo's were convincing but the possibility of it all being genuine pieces were just close to zero. Too much wishful thinking and make believe on our part IMO. If its too good to be true it mostly is, certainly when SS concerned...what was everybody thinking?!?

I'm not surprised with that situation: As pointed out the member in question has been posted frequently bad pics of some rare items, sales on Estand shown approx descriptions....Guess why?

So I decided to contact Besslein (Arek) and he replied immediately...telling me that he had been off line for about 11 days...Was out of town working on his brother's new house so not paying attention to any of these...Just got back on line as of today....

It was Glenn that pointed me to this thread. Btw Besslein even offered me this crusher in Nov-Dec of 2011!!

Yes, you should take this further. A person who has made a sale has some kind of an obligation to be "reachable" within a certain period of time if anything is not ok. That goes especially for an expensive item.

Why is not Besslein connected back/allowed to answer? Biohaz especially waits for an answer and so do the rest of the forum. As I understand from Nick he is still alive and want to make this matter right again. Why does he not?
