My guess is that, this cap has many characteristics of civil type caps. Maybe this maker mainly focused on those types of caps and that's way we see the difference in materials used.

Maybe you are right. The interior is similar to those found on para military and civilian made Peküro caps.
Could this construction be used on a Peküro military cap such as this?

Sure, I don't see why not.

It is odd in that it has the standard Pekuro civil logo/lining, but this would technically be a private-purchase Wehrmacht visor.

            Are there any HG stamps?

The other oddity is the stirndruckfrei feature--ie, the cushion. Is it black velvet? I have never seen a gray interior to the stirndruckfrei feature on a Pekuro, but it has the correct copper-colored bobbin thread.

                Thanks for your reply Stonemint
There are no HG stamps to be seen, neither on the lining nor on the back of the sweatband...
Would this combination of civil lining and being a Wehrmacht cap be impossible?

Yes, the black strip around the sweatband is the correct Peküro black velvet...
Dpo you think this visor cap is legit and just not 100% textbook / an oddity?
Or is it a frankenstein or even a reproduction?

                  Thanks,

Can it be a possibility that, being a private purchase cap, the combination was opted for the lighter weight Peküro civil lining on a military cap?

OK, that clears that up. Based upon these pics, I would say an original.
