        yes I agree, do not like the grommet/ eyelet and I am always weary of that type of strongly ribbed satin/ art.silk liner material in a sidecap. May be ok in some officer visor hats but in a sidecap or M43 it is usually a "no/no"

          Chris, your cap with grommets more closely resembles a Bergmuetze than an M43. Notice how the crown seam is sewn.

          Gisle's cap is the same.
