    Can someone help identify this peaked cap?

    I recently picked this up with a large lot of U.S. uniforms. I am not a TR collector, but I believe due to the stubby eagle size it is a governmental department cap. It has no mothing. The wool is in fantastic shape. Any help would be appreciated.
