DAK pith helmet

Hi,

I got this one from a friend tody, it come's straight from the attic.

I've searched a bit on the net and it appears to me as an Italian made but DAK used pith helmet.

It looks like there were some insignia on the side's too but that they were removed.

Any information is welcome

It is an Italian m1928 2nd model sun helmet and they were used by the Germans, But I have never seen one with little swastikas on them like this. Can you show better pics of where the German badges were removed from it?

The only examples of this type that I would be totally happy with are either those with a known history since the war or those that have the correct inkstamp for them being issued to the Germans, which this does not appear to have.

Agree 100% it is an original Italian m1928, would like to see better pics of the area where the shields were removed also...doubtful of DAK use.

Looks like only one side has the marks of some sort of insignia.

I'll ask my friend to contact the person he got it from, so maybe I can post the story later this day.
