It has been messed with a big time. Pass on it would be my advise. This cap does not worth even to explain why.

This is on the Batavis site, and is overpriced even if real. I have never seen a hat marked Wiener Klasse before. The piping (it is rayon) has not been applied evenly. The bottom edge wool trim is higher quality than the blanket wool body of the hat. Just a strange hat that, even if real, you would have a lot of problems trying to re-sell.

"Wiener Klasse" means, of course, Vienna class. What is that supposed to mean? As others have said, this cap is a stinker.

I thought it was a reference to hot dogs. It made me hungry...

I would have preferred "Wiener Schnitzel"!

IMHO I think its a CRAPPY original cap made circa 43-44 in austria..maybe ever for the field Some of the makers in Austria dont measure up un quallity of their Deutsches Reich brothers..didnt get into full swing with the Anschluss...Although I must admit I dont remember seeing a sweatnand quite like it..Got some great age mothing on the cap band.. Insignia looks later war...Billbert

no i dont want it either but i think its real and period....
