I've been collecting TR for 20 years and I thought I knew it all. We would all like to think that we are somewhat knowledgable in this minefield but there is always one item that trips us over. I reckon most of us here have walked down this path and fell, maybe more than once.
What pisses me off most is that most of my previous dealings with Manions has been with buying reference books!!

Reminds me of one that was sent for me to look at. On the backside I was able to pry a tiny bit of the black band aside, revealing the dark green band underneath.

I returned it and the owner said he could not find a spot loose enough to pry it away and reveal anything. You might want to give it a try.

I still think this might be the same cap sent to me as it's been a couple of years ago. It had an extremely tight black band on top of the green. Try and find an area near the back seam on the top of the band and see if you can pry it out since there is nothing to lose now.

Thanks Ben, I've still kept all the paper work from this transaction but when they are confronted with the evidence they will simply say "Your inspection period is 7 days". That was over 4 years ago.
They will offer to re-list the item and if it sells it will take 6 - 12 months for me to get my money. This is standard proceedure from Manions.

Yes Virginia there really is a Manions.
Willing to sell all sorts of make believe items but swear black and blue that they are truely from the third reich period. If you don't believe Manions, Just ask Alice who is in "Third Reich Wonderland".
