Not original skull in "Moustachio" type.

Well, the obvious concern is the centreband material.

Thanks BenVK, The centre band seems no different than the many other visor cap examples I've viewed on this forum. The photos I've taken do the cap no justice. The band may look coarse but it is the same as my other visors.

Yes, it is a clear repro skull

He has already said twice, including once in the first post, that he knows that the insignia is fake.

Surely the most obvious question one would want to ask oneself is: Why would the celluloid mysteriously disappear just before the word 'kasse'?
The second question one would ask is: NCO cap, offizier kleiderkasse?

Was there a different interior for NCO caps and Officers?
Did Ludwig Vogele use only one type of celuloid sweat diamond? Or did they in fact use different ones for the two classes?
Does some missing lettering on the piece of celluloid proove anything conclusive?

Ben hit the nail on the head, The cap band is bad as is the cap. The lining is out of a very early Heer visor circa mid 1930's. That Vogele mark is very early heer. Also note the shape, no peak. Another indication of a mid 30's Heer.
