SS EM Black Service Cap

I would like opinions on this black service cap. The skull is the three pronged type, which I know many do not like while others do. Other than the size, there are no markings at all.

The leather and bill show age and crazing. Is this a movie prop, or the real deal?

Pretty good repro, could be an early Janke. Wool is incorrect, piping too fuzzy, lining incorrect.

I take it back. I believe it is a very early Alteste .

Would make sense especially with the 3 pronger TK that we all know and love!

On the plus side, the chinstrap looks ok, worth a pretty penny on it's own.

Those long strings of fuzz off of the piping sure looks wrong. Usually the sign of man-made acetates, but maybe someone just tried too hard to rough it up?
