It's a Soldatenbund veteran's visor, but I'm not sure what the carmine farb is for. I had one just like it with golden-yellow piping and both badges intact.

            Hallo Rolf

Brian is right. This is a SOLDATENBUND visor with the chinstrap for low-ranking veterans and the correct black mohair band. The shade of the pipings could be red for artillery. I own exactly its brother but with silver chincords for an officer-ranking artillery veteran and I've seen, till now, visors showing white, pink, green and yellow piping and especially a beautiful MARINEBUND summer visor with golden effects (by WAF member Langemarck):

Thank you Rolf for help me posting the front view of my SB visor

It came from Germany with its own RKB eagle (crossed swords superimposed on the chest ), as frequently seen on other original visors, and shows quite a perfect lining.

                  best regards

These insignias are not so rare. Currently, I have seen a number of them on some sellers' sites and sometimes they appear on eBay for affordable prices

Excellent examples, guys! These are quite rare in their own right, and often get confused with RKB and Kyffhauserbund, but are distinct. Each vet got to wear the Waffenfarbe he wore on active duty--ie, Rosa for armored; red for artillery, etc. The organisation was abolished in 1939 and forcibly absorbed into the new Reichskriegerbund, and they were ordered to cut-off/cover-up their piping.

The Soldatenbund eagle is similar to the RKB eagle, but it is larger.

You both have excellent taste in headgear!
