Hello...... I picked this and a few other peices of headgear today, I'm not really a headgear collector and have no clue about it,,,,, so gentlemen if you please... fire away!

I think it is a copy. Nothing compares here really. Look at the typical red parts of hat from the pic that I add.......

Well it sure does seem real, and I compared it to some other examples and it looked really close... I'll post some more and better photo's later today.

Also at first observation between the one I have and the other one posted here, thee eagles are completely different?? In the photo I posted the eagle looks kind of crappy, but that photo does not do it justice..

The chinstrap and side buttons are replacements, and the internal construction is unusual--not necessarily bad, but non standard. The top exterior looks to be the correct wool, the flaps are non standard, grommets look okay. You can expect a custom purchased piece to be different than standard construction if early (or very high ranked) but, other than the chin strap and side buttons, I'd want to physically examine it before giving an opinion.

As you said more pictures needed, the cap looks stained and worn which is fine but the chinstrap and button look new, if its Red upper its for Staff SA, we need more pics shipmate, Sean

I am leery of these lined NCO Kepis, especially with a sweatdiamond with logo. Sweat band looks too new. The marks on the top appear to be from an iron. Hopefully Bob C. will pipe in here.

Chinstrap looks brand new, as do the side buttons. This may be a Janke.
