Soviet Ushanka used by a Panzerman?

Posted this on the other forum but it's slower there than an asmatic ant carrying 2 bags of heavy shopping back from the supermarket.

Anyone got any experience with these? Photos aren't the best but it's all I've got.

I can't comment on this cap, but from talking to my wife's grandfather (Southern Russian front, 1943), he once told me that when you are freezing and Berlin hasn't issued you any winter clothes, you are not above taking a wool cap off a dead Russian and using it. I would expect many Russian ushankas ended up on German heads. He also had a funny story about replacing the front tires on a Kubelwagen with skis, which worked great until they tried to turn.

Well, if you want to have a really warm cap on head during very, very cold winter, soviet cap is (and was there) probably the best choice.

I've heard much story's of veterans who took Russian stuff for own usage.
This hat looks nice, I think original wartime sovjet.
