Original visor but I have doubt about the edelweiss beiing there as long as the corcade... Edelweiss looks brand new and the corcade shows much use....

With the half stirndrukfrei at the front and the font of the maker's mark, this could be an HPC or Holzinger manufacturer piece, for a distributor.

Any grommets behind the frontal area of the sweatshield?

It doesn't have to have any, as it could be a non Frischluft version, but I would go with the HPC / Holziner connection especially as Holzinger was a berchtesgaden maker well associated with the Gebirgsjager and this does look like several I have from these two well known makers.

The connection suggested by sturmbannfuhrer really fascinates me and I agree with him that this visor could be a no-frischluft version, also because it lacks the DRGM 1419757 inscription and bears an un-cut wreath.

Any hope to verify a possible presence of the ventilation system behind the frontal area of the sweatband?

maybe these are made from different material. Cockade looks like its tonned over the years.

Edelweiss looks like aluminium.


Which may explain the different 'wear'. Just tonned differently.
