Let's Review: Clemens Wagner Logos & Characteristics

    Gents--

I don't think Clemens Wagner has been studied as much as Erel, and there are some new CW fakes coming onto to the market of late, so I want to make sure we stay ahead of the fakers by examining as many fake and real CW's in this thread, along with all variations.

Every CW I had had a Stirndruckfrei system similar to Erel's, but in actuality, more CW's were made without it than with it.

    Here is the "textbook" CW:

Here is a real Heer CW logo. Note the font of the size #--this is typical for CW, and you will see it on those contract W-SS visors w/o the sweatdiamond:

The most common marking on the CW s/b's, but it is not present on all--mostly on just Stirndruckfrei's:

This one is a definate fake--logo is stamped on the diamond's inside, and not on the lining:

                      Another one that is suspect:

On unissued CW's, many have the oilcloth spring-removal tag:

The consensus on this one was that it is a high-end ground-up superfake:

This is the interior of the above cap. Note how blurred the logo is:
