    Weird SA Bustina?

Guy cames in to the Mt. Vernon, WA gun show this weekend and shows me this hat. Brown wool looks like an Italian Bustina with the round bill up in front and wrap over ear flap extentions attached on the top. Eagle on a green triangle on the left side. Weird cocard on the front with a runic SA carved out in the middle. Nice RZM label on the inside of the leather sweat band in front. Looked right as rain to me over all. This guy is so not a nazi collector. Never seen anything like it. I'm more of a Cavalry collector. Never been into Party stuff. I don't have a picture. Any thoughts? Value? Interest? It looked mint to me. Doug

Yes, That Is A Wehrmannschaft Hat. To The Best Of My Knowledge, They Have Not Been Reproduced yet!

It would be very hard to find a minty, tagged example in that price range--I would think closer to 750.00.

Just like that but Triangle in green.

What can I say. I gave the owner a $500 WAG on the spot. Maybe I can get a shot at it at the next show up there. How many different colors are there? What do the colors mean? Doug

Eagle ground color is the SA group color, for example, orange for SA group "Südwest".
