    Erel Distributor Panzer Visor

Here we have my Erel "Sperling" distributor visor. Sharp eyed dudes amongst us may have seen the interior of this one before, in a nice glossy book!

For all you Erel fans out there, as you can see, this is a "Single" marked erel "Standard" with the entry level sweatband, as opposed to the additional cost DRGM marked padded type.

My big pics allow you to get upclose and personal with the one.....

Thanks Nick, Carlo and Matt, I paid $1600 for this 6 years ago, I bought it together with the General Staff shown a few weeks ago.

They both came from Gerard Stetzelberger. Gerard knows how to find beautiful caps.

I remember when it arrived. My wife was suffering from Gastro Enteritis and I got a right earfull for driving back to Bristol from Cheltenham during works time to fetch them from the Royal Mail.

Apparrently, , I was more interested in German Caps than her!!!!!!

Looking back, she got a pack of "plain" custard tarts (all she could hold down) and I got two sweet caps. Normally she likes to check out my new pickups, but with the gastro enteritis they were not going any where near her

                        Hallo sturm

                        beautiful visor

Some information about (I certainly think already well-known):

                        H. SPERLING was a bayonets' distributor also and had his office in Dresden, Marienallee 7.

                        best regards

Its funny how this was the cheaper option of sweatband...I think I prefer it to the more common Erel style...

Hi Arran, I agree. These so called Single marked erels seem to be rarer than the doubles.

This cap may have been manufactured before the DRGM padded type were available, or the officer wasn't bothered, we will never know.

                            cheers

Hi enorepap, many thanks for the info. After the incineration of Dresden I find items relating to it interesting.
