I'm glad Stonemint started this thread as I think I may have been stung by one of these.

May I please have opinions on this cap, bought years ago from a UK dealer not very popular on this forum.

I was never quite at ease with the piping, the top is as tight as a drum and the material extremely fine. The front is thickly padded.

I think you have a good cap as well. I was surprised to hear your concern. What specifically bothered you about this cap? I see that the crown piping is a little thicker than the mohair band piping, but there's nothing wrong with that.

Mike, what material is the visor of your cap trimmed in?

I'm not sure what the trimming is. It's very shiny and smooth. Maybe a type of thin patent leather? Or something synthetic?
