Check this out-- triple serial #s! There is an over-stamping dated 1964, but upon further review, I would go with the Lieferjahr date of 1956.

So we know that Litto-Kappe, Pekuro and Studio Breuer were all purchasing their leather sweatbands from the same source as early as 1956.

NTZ, is anyone still contending that these are original?

Yes but they do it in private. One of our members who had one got a number of pm’s telling him is was real. I would love to hear from those guys but I wouldn’t expect it anytime soon.

              Numbers On Sweatband

Here is a cap which is for sale on a German dealers' website. The numbers caught my eye. Took me awhile to find this thread again, it should be pinned. Anyway, what do you think of this one?

Franky, imho. Is it supposed to be gray for propaganda?

                        Visor

The description says that the piping was white but has been colored grey at some part in time. I was thinking Janke due to the reed next to the sweatband.

This is a superfake of an older vintage. This is a Form 2 visor with a white wool top (not authorized). No interior pic, unfortunately.

Boy how depressing. I go to the Heer forum and read about all the fake PzPi, HG Wraps, go to the LW Forum and read about new fake LW insignia, and I stooped by here to read about these fakes. As a novice visor collector the fakes were not as obvious to me. Thank you Stonemint and others for the enlightening discussion. Jim
