SS crusher study

Like many things SS a concensus is difficult, especially when it come to items not seldom encountered.
Mr Phild is right on with many of his assements. Having studied these (Field Service cap) for a number of years, I've drawn several conclusions,( ie comfort zones)
All originals I've seen were "contract" pieces sharing simular characteristics.
This one has the narrow wool cap band w/ 'buckram" type cap frame.
It's "broken" at the 3 & 9 position.

Well, I was going to spell out some of the details of my crusher, but a picture's worth a thousand words, and I'm way too busy (read: lazy) to write all that, so here's a couple of pics. Anyway everybody else is showing 'upskirts' of their rarebirds. I do think we may be shooting ourselves in the foot though.Attached Files
