This is an area that I know very little about, and I need some help from those of you with more knowledge. I need to know what is the approximate value of this hat?
I have for the past 10 years had the below Erel private purchase Officer visor for Panzergrenadier in my collection. I know these are "rarer than hen's teeth", but I have very little idea of what it may be worth.
It is a so called "double Erel" (someone once told me), and I understand it is a private puchase visor. It shows very little, if any signs of wear. The sweat diamond is perfect. And it has the vented cocarde.
It came to me from an old lady in Oslo that called me on an ad 10 years ago. At that time she wanted to give it to me with two KM car pennents she had, and was quite surprised it was actually worth something.
Nevertheless, the only "wear" visible is a small (1mm) moth nip. Also the cocarde appears to have been slightly bent on a small spot.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
