I certainly think that Paul Hausser's visor cap is a Pekuro from the shape. I have seen several pictures of him wearing different cps and they all appear to be Pekuro.

Yes, it doesn't look like an Erel to me. The peak (crown) looks much
too round and not quite pointy or swept up enough for an erel.
