      Hi Rich,

It is a Chupo's shako (Third Reich town police), vulkanfiber - for an Enlisted Man/NCO. Difficult to say how original the piece because the photographs are pretty poor. The maker's mark should show in the inside.

It misses its chinstrap. Provided that the piece is correct, I would say it is worth about $350/$450 on the open market depending on the condition. Just my opinion.

      I hope that helps

      Cheers

100% and in good condition. Value? Who cares! Find the chinstrap and keep it.
