any comments? I had a bayonet just like this once with heavy green paint. Here is what my buddy said..."
Re-Discovery: Just wanted to share with the membership an interesting Luft
buckle, 1940 steel with second variation eagle with olive-green paint. These
were found with & without leather tabs of either black or brown. The buckle
was issued with the olive green topical belt. Actually this is a
re-discovery of sorts in the bunker, as it has been on a belt I acquired
some time ago to go with a tropical tunic display. Not having a genuine
interest in buckles...I has over look it desirability, which was brought to
my attention while at SOS. It was my display and a German fellow offered me
a ridiculous amount, in my opinion. Needles to say I didn't sell it! So,
as the story goes, I'm collecting buckles w/tabs...If any of the membership
has any for sale I would be interested.
