    Early SA Buckle

    Hello, guys!
I need opinion about this early SA buckle. Type1, two piece construction with a nickel-silver (not silver plated) roundel and "sunwheel". The buckle need small repair - resoldering. Otherwise good used condition with nice patina. Weight 43.34 gr.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello:
A genuine buckle, in my opinion. It is interesting to see behind the emblem.
Repairing it probably won't increase the value.

    Regards,
    Kent

Hello, Kent! Thanks for your opinion! I bought it for my collection not for resale. So the value is not so important.
I will fix soldering in the best way.

Might be better to leave as found....someone took it apart, but seldom do you see how they are constructed, and also the solder will be too bright after resoldering...will still look repaired....it will sell for full value without fixing, so its your call, but few buckle collectors have one disassembled like this...might be good to add to a buckle book someone else has already published as an addition to the study? why not consider it as is...just don't lose the pieces.

Thanks! Actually I haven`t quite decided what I'll do. Will think about it and maybe hear more opinions ...

WOW! Many thanks! You mean gorget like this? http://www.mymilitaria.it/liste_02/sa_ss_gorget.htm

Size exactly the same! So I think that same roundel used both - on buckle and gorget!
P.S. I thought about why the remains of rivets on the back of roundel...? Now I've got answers!
