                            For me the Assmann buckle is the really amazing buckle, perhaps because it is the rarest one and it is missing in my collection

                              As you can see, i still need a few myself. I would like to acquire a "neck feathers", a "pointy wings", and a Keller. All things come to he who waits and is willing to pay the mega bucks.

                                It is the name I gave to this SS buckle several years ago for the reason you pointed out in your next post. At that time I did not know some examples were without this feature. Then I find some examples even marked. But I kept the name I gave it first.

                                The same goes for the SS Buckle Chris labelled as Fisher. The original name I gave to this buckle is "oeil cerné" (it's French), and that name should be more accurate for the moment since the reference I gave for this buckle to be made by Rudolf Fisher in Nixdorf was a possibility but it is still just a possibility. It has not been proven as such.
