Buckle with Green Leather Belt - what is it?

I would sincerely appreciate any information on this belt and buckle set. The buckle has an "A" (Assmann) maker's mark. I believe this is a Forestry Official's set, but don't know for sure. What "rank" would have worn this?

      Hi John

If, as it appears to be from the picture, the buckle has a burnished finish, then all ranks of the Reich forestry service wore it with their everyday dress. For fancy occasions, forestry officials comparable in seniority to military officer rank had a brocade belt with a bright aluminium (gold for the most senior guys) version of this buckle , whereas all the lower-downs had to wear the bright aluminium buckle on the leather belt.

      Kind regards
      Kurt
