It doesn't look like aluminum it looks like painted steel. What are the markings?

IMO
Alexander, it is quite normal that it takes a long time here at the department buckles get an answer. I speak from experience.
If you are lucky you get 1 or 2 answers.

Better photos of the markings would be nice, however, IMO this is an original painted steel buckle by RZM M4/42 (Aurich)

All I can make out under the paint is an RZM ans possibly M4, so I think you win a cigar!!

Marking is RZM M4/42 H.Aurich , with the typical catch .

It's a original HJ buckle and you get more than 2 reply ( you are lucky )
