For the last 5 years I have been chasing after a decent DRK officers belt and buckle and finally, finally, I found one. I'm under the impression that nobody really gives a damn about the DRK thats why I couldn't understand that they are so hard to come by. Well, here it is.

I would disagree as there are some very committed DRK collectors out there (myself included.) The role that the DRK played in WW2 is quite interesting. DRK items also often feature both a swastika and cross which is a very stark juxtaposition of symbols. It is fascinating (and sad) how an organization founded on principles of humanity, impartiality and neutrality was hijacked by the Nazi regime. Many thanks for your responses. In the mean time I have replaced the leather slides on the belt which, I was told, were not quite right, possibly replacements for lost originals.Comment
