    tropical luft

    Hi guys picked this set up today for not a lot of money so if its not right no great loss , the buckle and belt seem ok to me but its the paint that i would like opinions on please, could it be field applied ? i thought is if a faker did it why not paint over the primer ? cheers Dave

        I do not believe of the tan paint to be wartime. The buckle is a genuine Aurich one that has been worked a bit IMO.

          I think the ears are too big for a Aurich buckle, they are normally long and slender, the catch looks Aurich?

            Take a close look for markings. The paint might make them hard to read.

              It is hard to say if the paint job was done wartime or not but in any event not factory applied!

                Correct : as rightly observed by Guido the buckle is by Osang (maker marking is still there).

                About paint job, I seriously doubt it's period done.
