    SS marked belt keeper

My last nice find. SS marked belt hook. Interesting markings, which are invisible when hook is in the belt. I wonder how many of those are around and belt owners don't even know what they have. Now I need to find matching buckle.

Very interesting as I have never seen these type markings on belt keepers. Look original enough but would like to hear from Ric or JP on this.

Hello I picked up an identical keeper about five years ago. I saw 5 or 6 of these go through Manions in about a six month period. They didn't sell for much. I think I paid $30. It looks good displayed with my buckle with the same markings. Kirby

                Hello,

by the pics I'm not sure about originality, but I can confirm many casting repros were offered by a well known US auction house.

Btw, Kirby's belt catchs look 100 % original.

                Best

                Ric

There is indeed some original SS marked keepers but the 822/37 pictured to start this thread is just a forgery (fake).

Thanks for educating me that my find is a fake. I had no idea that those things are faked too. I've never seen it. At least I can still back up from that purchase and save.

                        Thanks, Jack

                              and welcome to the Forum.

What means : "I find this hook by myself " ? Did you find it by a metaldetector ?
