Thankyou for the images. Without wishing to detract from the HJ, the DJ that you have shown is quite remarkable. The twin markings are really super by both what they are and represent, together where they are placed. I tend to agree with you about the HJ, insofar as the RZM 17 strike was a post production after thought.

I have never seen an Assmann HJ with the over size RZM 17 in splendid isolation of any other marks.

Attached however is an SA that may be of interest.

    Regards,

    David

what a great SA it is not every day you find a marked SA let alone a wonderfully marked Assmann SA.. I am so glad that 70 years ago, the people at Assmann couldnt make up their minds as to how and where to mark their buckles how many Assmann marked SA buckles do you have?

            Buckle

Hello i got this today from Germany but what i didnt notice when i bought it are the markings they are not where they normally are does that mean it´s bad?
            The markings are: A A&S Ges.Gesch RZM 17

Could someone at Assman have put the markings at the wrong end?

I just put this inquiery here since you are the experts
            Thank you
I cant get any better photos of it

                      Buckle

Ok thank you for the info. As you say it´s a well known fake, but shouldnt the dealer know that. And not mark it as a original?

                      Thank you

that mark was never put on steel buckles lie that and defiantely not in that position...a dealer who sells buckles should in my opinion know about this buckle..it is not to say that a dealer has to be an expert at all facets of german militaria, but know your product...soryy for the bad news..Chad
