Is it my imagine, however is this quite specific design and "sunwheel" SA hard to find ?
Anyway - before and after images of in theory, exactly the same buckles.
Really no idea as to whether the bespoke and artistic engraving is period or not. I sometimes see damaged, worn or de nazified SA's having been modified to restore their dignity (and sale value of course), although this one seems a tad over the top.
