    PAK 40 wheels?

Any chance of these being PAK40 wheels? There is a similarity and the color is very much a DAK yellow. It could have found it way here from Afrika or rather Italy.Never seen them before except on pics and models. They are at a local junktique shop.

I hope it is not some farm implement, Thanx. Jacques

Patrick, I agree on your comment about the two, but what about the back wheel to a Panzer 1 as pictured below. J

Any thoughts on the panzer1 chassis theory. Quite a few of the assault guns on pzkw1 chassis were used in North Africa against the South Africans. The wheels looks very similar to that on my 1:35 models.J

I think that theory is plausible. It is from a Pz I IMO

              I like them

This is not for Pz I...

Looks civil use for me. I won't put money on it... !

I agree with Kasten that the wheels aren't for a Pz I. They are similar in design to early utility tractor/bull dozer idler wheels. So, possibly some type of agricultural equipment.

                    wheels

                    Hi

these are no tanks wheels unfortunately
they more look like agricultural frontwheels from an old type of tractor or for some plow or other agricultural devices.

                    cheers

Agree, unfortunately not Pz I (would have been great, as a member here is looking for parts), the Mark I ones are much wider and "stronger":

                        Hi,

i think you have a pair of front wheels for a tractor, very similar to the ones for Austin model ones.

                        http://www.austinmemories.com/styled-81/index.html

                        http://www.steel-wheels.net/austin.html

I was unable to find a similar pair of front wheels, but it is confirmed that Austin tractors were exported to South Africa.

Interesting enough, they may be worth something for tractor collectors...

                        See You
