New TigerI replica for "White Tiger" film

New Tiger replica -built for the "White Tiger" film. Moving, traversable turret, gun barrel recoil etc - seems like a lot of time and effort spend on it. But it is not exact copy, some changes were made to meet studio demands.

Is it based on an existing chassis, Roman? Or is it totally new-build? It looks very nice! Are the tracks original or new castings?

Well, i do not know for sure, since i was not involved in the process Professional model company in Samara made it. I doubt there are any original parts in this model. Tracks are probably new cast – one model company in Volgograd was going to start their production about 5 years ago, so it is not a problem technically if there are enough money. This TigerI is reported to be able to run up to 38 km per hour, powered by diesel engine from military tractor and is 3 times lighter then original Tiger.

A lot of other stuff was prodiced for this film – including 100% fantasy model of “White Tiger” (superheavy German tank, model on Is chasis), a lot of static models like this destroyed Pz III (http://houseofblade.net/cars/cinema/tank/ ) and Pz IV, few T-34s and even a T-34 interior model (http://houseofblade.net/cars/cinema/moretank/ )

Well now i have direct contact with people who made this Tiger (www.maketoff.net ) and able to provide additional information.
Yes, Tiger tracks are newly made (cast from Hadfield steel) , so they are fully functional and they can produce more of them in future.
Vehicle is powered by MTLB engine (JaMZ-240) and BAT gearbox and final gear. Other parts are newly-produced. Turret is power traversable with proper speed (like on original Tiger), gun is firing blank charges with recoil action.

Unfortunately “White Tiger” is not exactly the war film, but a kind of half-mystical story of a Russian tanker who, after hardly surviving in his unit encounter with Tigers in 1943, fights his personal war against miracle ”White Tiger” German heavy tank. Russian tank fans are deeply unhappy with the scenario.
