No, 305 was at Italy while the Battle of Normandy was happening, see the links . They left France to go to Italy in Aug 43.
Many times material was transferred to another unit before the move and the marking could have stayed under a new layer of paint until rust and wear discovered it again. The karren seem to be painted overall dunkelgelb, but the marking is over a previous coat of Grey. Isn´t it?
    Any other marking on it?
Just like the Stoewer back door: Dunkelgelb and green over Grey....

Nice If8 Karre! Congratulation. I have been interested in If8 Karren very much. It is interesting piece for me. I have guessed it is "CKU" production.
Thank you very much for the pictures.
        Regards Jiri.

That is an amasing item, in nice condition, with bullet shrapnel holes and all. It looks like there is still a piece of shrapnel embeded in one place, could you post a closer view of that?

Tintin: Have you realized There are TWO license plates on the Stoewer back door? It seems that one was on the grey coat and the other was painted after the vehiclwe went Dunkelgelb...If the vehicle was also transferred that would mean that license plates belonged to the UNIT, not to te VEHICLE itself.
Can you tell me if they have different numbering?
              TIA

Help, Tintin, help...!!!Can you tell me which is the BASE color of the Buntfarbenanstrich? Looks like in one box there are Yellow paint under the green but in the other Green seem to be the first color applied with no other under it except priming....And what about Brown? I´m confused and halfway a Krupp Protze of Kampfgruppe Drohne in 1937, just in the moment I have to paint the model or trow it into garbage...

                        Thanks, definitively yellow as vase.
Regarding the DOT marking I´ve been searching high and low for an article I remember I read on a French Modelling Magazine In which It was clearly explained how some German Divisions changed their Abzeichen for dots along the NormandyCampaign...But I haven´t been able to find it until now.
Maybe you´ll find it easier than me : I think it was in a Steel Masters magazine
I´ll keep on searching, don´t worry.
