    Please help identificate the tiger

Hi i have found some parts from Panzer VI Tiger I late version , I have found a lot of different parts but most impressive is front hull , I have noticed that front hull has strange plate above the viewing device of the driver , I have never seen these plates on other Tigers I have seen on old pictures , maybe somebody will look on tiger I pictures he has hope to find picture of whole tank , This tiger probably belongs to 502 maybe 510 heavy tank battalions , I have found these parts in region where tiger has no loses according to books and information I have read so It hard to me to say exactly. unfortunately front hull without battalion emblem and even right side of turret was excavated there and it also was without numbers , really want to identificate this machine...

I have tried to identify the Tiger for you. Unfortunately I could find nothing. The photo coverage of 502 and 510 in the late war is quite poor.

I wonder if you could show photographs of the inner sides of the armour plates. That may give us more information about the date when the tank was built. It would also help us to understand the internal working of these vehicles.

        Hello,

The plate above the viewport is probably a rainguard.

        Cheers

Jevgenjss, another of your fantastic finds...were these the only pieces you found..I guess after the tank was destroyed the locals use what ever was left for scrap metal...

you should try and post these pictures at

I'm sure someone there can help you with information about what units were fighting in the area where you found the parts.
