    piece of tank?

This morning I found this thing in the wood, not far from where last year I found a sherman periscope. The area is near a road, so it could be a relic from battlefield as well as a modern garbage.
    It looks nicely corroded though.
Any idea what is it? It's 22 cm tall

        Cheers Guys,
the area where I found it was military since the early 1900 and in more recent times, germans, italians, americans and also Commonwealth armies passed there. Being the location near a main road, it is also infested by garbage.
You could still have some lucky finds though. This thing was pretty deep in the woods ... could it be from a US truck from the late 40's ? (Allies stayed here till 1954)

Looks very much like Opel front disc.Definetly not wartime.Actually disc brakes to normal cars started to appear in 1970´s.Only car i know and have seen which had discbrakes in 1960´s was Chevrolet Corvette(i know there were others too).

Can you give a pic of the disc side on ?? Looks well thin, looks to be lacking certain features for a worn out disc as well.
              Cheers,

                Hi Tim,

many people here and on another forum told me it was a disc, so I threw it to garbage already...
