    Thats putting it mildly!! A barely recognisable overpriced lump of junk more like.Nothing there thats restorable. Will be interesting to see if it sells at that price.

      Even that shape Tiger Engine goes to crazy prices.

      It looks like engine block has taken direct hit from some artillery ammo or aircraft bomb.Total destruction.

      Definetly would have space next to my Otto Carius Autographed photo and PAB collection.

        This engine can be (and should be) a good exhibit in a museum.

        The similar (or the same) engine was at e-bay two ears ago.
        May be it was not selled at that time.

            I dont think he get this price. because its bad shape. Its still a nice piece. But in a bad shape. Not much HL230 today... mmh

              Ground dug? Stated as an HL230 engine from a Tiger (I, II?) but could just as easily have come from a Panther or or any of the Panther/Tiger Jagd versions, as I believe they all used this design. Having said that, might this in fact be the earlier and less powerfull HL210 engine which powered the first Tiger I's produced?

              Cool relic in any case, too bad about the condition.
