Are these for a German Vehicle

These were sitting out in my garage, since I really don't know what they're for. They look like they are part of a fire extinguisher system. Definately German. Kampfraum which means combat position, fighting compartment etc could suggest a turret etc.

    So my questions are:

    Are they German WWII?
    Whats their purpose?
If its for a vehicle..what type?

    Thanks for your assistance.WR Jim

Dont know if its WW2 but I think it says if there is a fire in the fighting compartment to push the button.

Thats what I was guessing. The wire on the closeup is exactly like the that used for WWII throat mikes etc. I don't see any Waa marks etc that might help. Jim

It could be ww2, I personally think these one's are for use in German phillboxes,
              the exact translation says:
'' when there is fire in the combat area, press the alarm button (emergency)''
such things are not in use in vehicles, i think

Hopefully you could use my information.

              Gr. Jim

Thank you very much. I was also thinking it might have been used in a pillbox. Maybe some one can actually confirm that.WR Jim

                  Actually.

it's more like "Press button upon fire in interior" and would be for a fire extiguishing system in a vehicle- Kampfraum would refer to the vehicle's crew area, e.g turret, driver's position etc. Now you'll have to research which German tanks had such a system, I'm away from my references and can't help, Tiger or Panther spring to mind, but I'm not sure.

                  Cheers,

                  Jens O.

You have to search for a panther photo gallery know, but i believe it's very hard to find a pic of such a detail. Good luck with researching this.

                      Best Regards, Jim
