    Karlmorser

Just a quick note that some of the tread-head armor modelers may find exciting: Dragon is coming out with a corrected Nashorn, a 1/35 scale Karl morter ( later the pz 4 munition vehicle and rail transport units are to come ) and a 1/35 scale Leopold - aka "Anzio Annie". That will take care of my free time next winter. Mike C.

    Can't wait

Mike, heard rumours about the Karl from a friend in the States, gotta clear some shelf space ! It's a must have model though, lots of dio possibilities, but I'm gonna wait until the brass etch and resin boys bring forth the super detail stuff, then take twelve months out to start building. !

      Hey,
I've got a pic of a Pz 4 munitions carrier! Wish I was doing models again.

        Wow !

Terry, I think this might have you reaching for the modelling knife & liquid poly. Just seen a pic in 'Military Modelling, Dragon are producing a 1/35 'Leopold' 28cm railway gun. Seen at the Nurnberg toy fair, it was so big the photographers had trouble photographing it !

Did it ever come out? I may have to get back into modeling if it did...

Just checked eBay - the Karl is a reality in 1/35, but the only Leopold I could find was still in 1/144.

                They are out

                Don,
The Karl is out as well as the K5E (Leopold) and since the previous posts a 1/35 80 cm Dora. The Karl and K5E are produced by Dragon and Trumpeter and the Trumpeter kits are much better than the Dragon kits. There is a Belgian company that does a 360 degree turntable for the K5E and there are after market detail parts for all of them. The Dora is by SoarArt and retails for about $700. It is a massive kit.
