116 Marked Wound badge real ?

    Hello guys,

Found this one today as i wanted one for a certain time now, find this one, but never saw this marking on a badge before. Your opinion ?

It is only marked on the back on the helmet.

    Thank you

    Very interesting.

The badge looks original to me, but I have never seen a 116 mark this way.

Funcke & Brüninghaus badges is "normally" 🙄 marked L/56 and on some badge have 116 stamp in under the pin.

    Could it be a 16!

Let's see what others think 🤔.

        A nice F&B variation

I have never seen this variation.

The first 1 in 116 looks like it is not stamped properly.
The badge does not look like it has the same thickness as other F&B black badges.

          @Hans:
I don't have my data here, is it a typical F&B setup?

The first "1" looks weak and out of alignment with the "16", so another possibility is that it is a double struck "16".

I can´t post pics but i have 116 marked ones in my files that have a crispier mm and it´s misaligned. The hardware as well as the obverse design matches F&B bwb´s.

The for me known 16 mm badges has a bigger font as well as it´s placed infront of the helmet not under it.

Thank you guys for all your advices ! Great to learn about what seems to be a quite rarely seen model.

                Great debate anyway !
