Gold and Silver Wound Badges for Review

I think these badges are fine but Wound Badges are not my main area of collecting so I would appreciate confirmation. I bought both items to align with document groupings in my collection.

I think these are two very nice cased badges, but based on the documents I would expect later war zinc badges would be more appropriate. Others may correct me if I'm wrong.

I am sure you are correct but I am not keen on zinc badges and intentionally waited for Buntmetall examples. Probably not what they would have been awarded on these dates but I wanted to do the best I could for these men.

The man who was awarded the Silver was actually awarded a Black Badge for a wound received on Crete in 1941 but this was upgraded to Silver in 1945 due to ongoing medical complications and disability. I have his original 1957 Silver Award and it is Buntmetall.

No argument from me on the zinc. I'm still looking for a nice buntmetall gold to go with the empty case I have but just haven't found one in my admittedly cheap price range. Thanks for the info about the silver badge awardee.
