Acquired a great deal of his military memorabilia from his estate a few years ago.

          Best regards,

            Hi Ron,

Very nice Wound Badge, photo, and packet. The Wound Badge in the photo seems to have a lot of wear to it, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Wound Badge you have is the exact one that he is wearing in the photo. The packet is really nice, although it is not a match to the Wound Badge. I'm sure the guy had more than one.

            Best regards,
            Tom

                  Hi Ron,

                  Very nice Wound Badge documents.

The first one is signed by Oberstleutnant Werner von Bercken.

                  Best regards,
                  Tom

Beautiful collection. It's a strange feeling when you are looking at what could be the exact award being worn at that time. I have a similar grouping with photograph of the recipient, and mine is a 'Condor Legion' 1st 1939 pattern; it was found in a tin in a loft in Germany a few years ago.
