    Black wound badge (something strange?)

    Hello!

Eric showed us a black wound badge with the number "4". I have here a cased black wound badge with the number "6" and above the letters "K 6 O". I looked in the book of Mike Tucker "Combat Badges of the Third Reich".
I found out that nr. 6 was Fritz Zimmermann, Stuttgart, but they only made infanterie assault badges!! Now this is strange...

This can only mean two things:
    1) The badge is a fake, what I don't believe...or
    2) The book of Micke Tucker is not complete.

What are your opinions about this?

    Regards,

    Frans H.

And the last picture. The hersteller "K 6 O" could also be "K 6 Q".

It was a "65". Klein and Quenzer marked Wound Badge.

Yes - it's 'KuQ' and '65'. The '5' is a bit indistinct, that's all. An original badge.

You are right Angel and Robin. After close inspection there is indeed a indistinct 5 after the 6. Thanks for attended this to me.

              regards,

              Frans

It does look like there's a "42" below the "65".

                  Nice badge.

I must buy myself a pair of new glasses There is indeed "42" stamped below the "65". I missed this one too. I believe I was drunk when I looked at the back of this badge. First I missed the "5" and now the "42".

Yes, I defenitely must go to the shop to buy myself a new pair of glasses.

                    Thanks

Congrats on the clarification of the badge! In your defense, those numbers are hard to read.

Also keep in mind Tucker's book also has flaws and omissions in it.
(as does every other author's works...)

Do not use any one for a definitive reference...

                          Just to add...

This is the most scarce type for the hollow issues by this maker.

                            Hello Chris,

This I did not know. I paid for this one 45 euros (with the box). I think this is not a bad price? Or...???

                              Hi Frans,

                              The price is fair
